General terms — every member
These terms apply to all Bunkr Club memberships, day passes and bookings, whichever facilities you use.
1Who we are, and what these terms are
Bunkr Club is operated by The Bunkr Club Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17313373), whose registered office is at Unit 16 Faldo Road, Barton-le-Clay, Bedford MK45 4RP. The club itself is at Unit B5, Barton Industrial Estate, Faldo Road, Barton-le-Clay MK45 4RP. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the club” mean The Bunkr Club Ltd, and “you” means the member named on the account.
These terms, together with the membership details shown to you when you joined — your tier, price, credit allowance and start date — form the contract between us. Nothing said in conversation, in marketing material or on social media varies them.
You can contact us at info@bunkrclub.co.uk. We will contact you using the email address and mobile number on your account, so please keep them current.
2Becoming a member
Your membership begins when we confirm it by email and your first payment is taken, not when you submit the form. We may decline an application without giving a reason.
You must be 18 or over to hold a membership in your own name. Access for people under 18 is dealt with in clause 15 and in Part B.
Membership is personal to you. You may not transfer, lend, sell or share it, and you may not let anyone else use your access code, booking account or entry card. Doing so is a serious breach of these terms — see clause 16.
3Your right to change your mind within 14 days
If you joined online or by any other means without meeting us in person, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of the day your membership was confirmed, for any reason and without giving one.
To cancel, tell us clearly before the 14 days are up — email info@bunkrclub.co.uk, or use the cancel button in your member account. We will acknowledge it in writing.
The 30-day notice period in clause 8 does not apply during these first 14 days. This is a legal right and nothing in these terms can cut it down.
If you ask us to start your membership straight away (which we assume you do, because your access code is issued immediately), you may still cancel within the 14 days, but we may keep a proportionate amount for the part of the month you have had access to, and the cost of any credits, classes, day passes or guest passes you actually used. We will refund the rest within 14 days of being told, using the payment method you paid with.
Model cancellation wording
You may, but need not, use this form of words: “I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: Bunkr Club membership. Ordered on [date]. Name. Address. Date.” Any clear statement will do.
4Membership is monthly and rolling
There is no minimum term and no fixed-length contract. Your membership runs for one month at a time and renews automatically each month on the same date, collecting payment by Direct Debit, until you or we end it. You are never tied in for a year.
To end it, we ask for 30 days' notice, which in practice means one further monthly payment. Clause 8 sets out exactly how that works, with examples. Two things are outside the notice period entirely: cancelling within your first 14 days (clause 3), and cancelling in response to a price rise or a change to these terms (clauses 7 and 20).
Where the day of the month does not exist — a membership starting on the 31st, for instance — payment is taken on the last day of that month.
5Paying for your membership
Membership fees are paid monthly in advance by Direct Debit. By joining you authorise us, through our payment provider, to collect the fee from your bank account on each renewal date until you cancel. Pay-as-you-go bay hire, day passes, classes and class cards are paid by card when you book.
All prices include VAT where it applies. Your fee covers the facilities and the credit allowance set out for your tier; anything beyond that — extra bay hours, classes, day passes, gym guest passes — is charged separately at the rates published at the time.
Bank and card details are held by our payment provider, not by us. We never see or store your full bank account or card number.
6If a payment fails
A payment that fails is usually a change of bank details, not a member who has left, and we treat it that way. If a payment fails:
- We will email you straight away with a link to update your payment details, and try the payment again on our provider's standard retry schedule.
- Your membership continues in full while we retry — your access code, your credits and your member prices all keep working. Nothing about a failed payment is visible at the door or the bay.
- If the retries are all unsuccessful, your membership is suspended: access, member pricing and credits stop together, and any future bookings are cancelled.
- A suspended membership can be reinstated at any time by paying what is outstanding. If you were on a founding rate, reinstating within 30 days keeps that rate; after that it is lost (clause 7).
We do not charge an administration fee for a failed payment. If fees remain unpaid after a membership has been suspended, we may pass the debt to a collection agency and recover the reasonable costs of doing so — but we will write to you first and give you a chance to settle it. We would always rather sort it out directly.
7Price changes, and the founding rate
We may change membership prices, credit allowances and the published rates for extras. If a change affects what you pay or what you get, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email. The 30-day notice period in clause 8 does not apply if you are cancelling because of a price change — you may cancel at any point before it takes effect, at no cost, with no notice, and we will refund any part-month you have paid for beyond your last day of access. It would not be fair to give you 30 days' notice of a price rise and then require 30 days' notice to leave because of it.
The founding rate is held for as long as you stay
Founding members — the first 30 to join from the founding list — pay a fixed reduced price: Gym £58, Golf Lite £55, Golf £84, Full Club £118, Full Club Elite £160 a month. That price is held for as long as your membership runs without a break, and a general price rise does not touch it.
It is attached to continuous membership, not to you personally. If you cancel, or your membership is suspended for non-payment for more than 30 days, the founding rate ends and cannot be recovered — rejoining is at the standard price of the day. Changing tier moves you to the founding rate for your new tier if one exists. Add-ons — Bunkr Junior and the Class Pass — are charged at the standard price to everyone.
8Ending your membership
You can cancel at any time, from your member account or by emailing us, and there is no cancellation fee. We ask for 30 days' notice.
In plain terms: you make one more monthly payment after you give notice, and your membership ends at the end of that month. Your access, your member prices and a full month's credits all continue to the end date — you are paying for a month you can still use, not a penalty.
What that looks like
Say your payments come out on the 1st and your fee is £99.
- You give notice on 20 October. Your 1 November payment is taken as normal. Your membership ends on 30 November, and no further payment is taken.
- You give notice on 2 October, the day after a payment. Same outcome: the 1 November payment is taken and membership ends 30 November. Giving notice early never costs you more.
- You give notice on 31 October, the day before a payment. Same again — 1 November is taken, membership ends 30 November.
Whenever you give notice in a month, you pay for the following month and that is your last. It is never more than one further payment.
The date your membership ends is shown to you before you confirm, and again in the confirmation email. We do not refund part-months on a voluntary cancellation, because you keep the access you have paid for.
Unused credits are lost when membership ends. They have no cash value (clause C2).
Cancelling your Direct Debit is not the same as cancelling your membership
Cancelling the Direct Debit at your bank does not end your membership and does not count as notice. It will be treated as a failed payment under clause 6, your membership will keep running, and the fees will keep building up. To cancel you must tell us, in your member account or by email.
We may end your membership by giving you 30 days' notice for any reason, refunding any period you have paid for beyond the end date. We may end it immediately in the circumstances in clause 16.
9Freezing your membership
We do not freeze memberships. There is no holiday, injury or sabbatical pause. A membership is either running and being paid for, or it is cancelled on the usual 30 days' notice under clause 8.
We would rather be straightforward about this than operate a freeze policy that in practice depends on who asks. If you need a break, cancel — there is no fee and no tie-in — and rejoin whenever you are ready at the price of the day.
10Your access code
Entry to the building and to the bays is by a personal numeric code issued to you. Your code is yours alone. You must not share it, write it where it can be seen, or let anyone else — including a family member, a friend or a guest — enter on it without you.
You are responsible for everything that happens on your code, including anyone you let in. If you think your code is known to someone else, tell us at once and we will reissue it.
Sharing a code is the one thing that most directly threatens an unstaffed venue, and we treat it seriously: see clause 16.
11The premises are unstaffed
This is the most important thing to understand about Bunkr Club, and you should not join unless you are comfortable with it.
There is normally no member of staff on site. You may be alone in the building. Nobody is watching the gym floor, nobody will spot you on a lift, nobody will check your technique, and if you are injured there may be no one present to help you.
- Exercise within your own capability, and stop if something hurts.
- Carry a charged mobile phone and know where the emergency exits and the first aid kit are.
- Report any faulty or damaged equipment immediately using the reporting link in your member account, and do not use it.
- If you are not confident using a piece of equipment safely and unsupervised, do not use it.
We will tell you in advance, where we can, when a member of staff or an instructor will be on site. Classes are the usual exception and are led by an instructor throughout.
12Opening hours and availability
| Who | Hours | What |
|---|---|---|
| Members | 05:00–23:00, every day | Gym and bays, subject to your tier and to availability |
| Non-members | 08:00–20:00 | Pay-as-you-go bay hire and gym day passes only |
| Non-members at a class | Class times only | Access begins and ends with the class, whatever the hour |
We may change opening hours, close the club or part of it for maintenance, repair, refurbishment, staff training or events, or restrict particular hours to members. Where a closure is planned we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can by email and in the app.
Facilities can be unavailable at short notice through equipment failure, a power cut, a loss of internet or something outside our control. We will restore them as quickly as we can. A short or occasional interruption does not entitle you to a refund, but if a facility central to your tier is unavailable for more than seven consecutive days we will credit you a fair proportion of your fee, or let you cancel immediately with a pro-rata refund.
Membership gives you access to the facilities. It does not guarantee that a particular bay, class or piece of equipment will be free at a particular time.
13Using the club safely and considerately
You agree to:
- Follow the safety notices, signage and instructions displayed in the club, and any reasonable instruction from a member of staff or an instructor.
- Wear suitable clothing and clean, non-marking indoor footwear. Bare feet, open-toed shoes, outdoor shoes and golf shoes with spikes are not permitted anywhere in the club.
- Wipe down equipment after use and return weights and clubs to their racks.
- Not bring alcohol onto the premises, and not use the facilities while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or while taking medication that affects your ability to exercise safely.
- Not smoke or vape anywhere on the premises.
- Follow the filming and photography rules in clause 13A. Filming your own swing is expected; filming other people is not.
- Not bring animals into the club, other than an assistance dog.
- Not use the club if you have an infectious illness or condition — including a stomach bug, a skin infection or anything contagious. On shared equipment that nobody is wiping down between members but you, this matters more than it would elsewhere.
- Leave quietly and without disturbing neighbouring units, particularly before 08:00 and after 20:00. This is an industrial estate with other occupiers and our licence depends on it.
13AFilming and photography
Filming your own swing is part of what a simulator bay is for, and the Trackman system records your shots as a matter of course. So this is not a no-filming rule — it is a rule about everybody else.
- In your own bay, film freely. Your swing, your session, your group.
- Never film in the changing rooms, showers or toilets, in any circumstances, for any reason.
- On the gym floor and in shared areas, do not film or photograph anyone else without asking them first. People are exercising, not performing, and an unstaffed gym can feel very exposed if someone is pointing a phone at it.
- Never film a child who is not your own, even incidentally in the background, and never post anything a child appears in without their parent's agreement.
- Check what is behind you before you film. The bays are open to the hallway and someone else is often in shot.
- If someone asks you to stop filming, stop. If we ask you to stop, stop.
- If another member complains that they have been filmed, we may ask to see the footage and ask you to delete anything they appear in. Refusing is a breach of these terms.
None of this restricts the club's own CCTV, which is covered separately at clause 19A.
14Bringing guests
You may bring guests to a bay you have booked, free of charge, up to the capacity of the bay (four people in total including you). The booking uses your credits at the normal rate and the guests add nothing to the price.
- Every guest must be registered before entry, with their name and mobile number. We hold this because we must know who is in the building — it is an access control and insurance requirement, not marketing.
- Each guest may visit as a guest three times in total, ever, counted against that person and not against the member who brings them. After three visits they are welcome to join, buy a day pass or book a bay themselves.
- Guests who are themselves Bunkr Club members do not count towards anyone's guest limit.
- You are responsible for your guests for the whole of their visit: their conduct, their safety, and any damage or loss they cause. They must stay with you and must not use the gym floor unless a gym guest pass has been bought for them (clause B7).
- Guests under 18 must be accompanied by the member at all times, and the gym age rules in clause B3 apply to them in full.
15Juniors
Bunkr Junior is an add-on to an adult membership, never a membership in its own right. The adult holds the contract; the junior is a permitted user under it.
- The junior must be under 18 and a different person from the adult member. We ask for their first name and date of birth, and check both.
- The add-on gives junior credits for golf bays only, usable only during the published junior window. It gives no gym access of any kind.
- A junior session issues no access code. Entry is on the accompanying adult member's own code. The junior may not be in the building without that adult, who must remain on site for the whole session.
- As the adult member you are legally responsible for the junior: their safety, their conduct and anything they damage. You confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, or have that person's permission.
- The add-on ends automatically when the junior turns 18, and ends with the adult membership.
16Conduct, suspension and immediate termination
We may suspend your access or end your membership immediately and without refund if you:
- Share your access code, or let anyone enter the building on it without you.
- Let an unregistered person use the facilities, or repeatedly bring the same person as a guest beyond their three visits.
- Behave in a way that is threatening, abusive, discriminatory or harassing towards another member, a guest, an instructor or a neighbour.
- Damage equipment or the premises deliberately or recklessly.
- Use the club for commercial purposes without our written agreement, including coaching or personal training others for payment (clause B9).
- Give us information at signup that you know to be untrue, including on the health declaration.
- Seriously or repeatedly breach any other part of these terms after we have asked you to stop.
Where the breach can be put right and is not serious, we will write to you, tell you what the problem is, and give you seven days to put it right before we act. Where someone's safety or the club's licence is at stake, we will not wait.
You can appeal. If we suspend or end your membership you may ask us to look at it again by emailing info@bunkrclub.co.uk within 14 days. A director who was not involved in the original decision will review it and reply within 14 days. We will not charge you membership fees while an appeal is being decided. This does not apply where your membership was ended for violence or threats of violence.
If we end your membership under this clause you may not rejoin without our written agreement, and we may refuse entry to the premises.
17Your belongings, and damage
Lockers are provided for use during your visit only and must be emptied before you leave. Anything left overnight may be removed; we will hold it for 28 days and may then dispose of it or give it to charity.
You bring your belongings into the club at your own risk. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to your property, except where it is caused by our negligence or our failure to meet a legal duty — see clause 18, which sets out what we are and are not responsible for.
If you damage our equipment or the premises deliberately or through careless use, we may charge you the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. We will show you the evidence and the invoice before charging anything.
17AParking and getting to the club
Bunkr Club is on a working industrial estate with other occupiers, and the parking is shared.
- Park only in the marked spaces, and only while you are using the club. Do not block other units, loading areas or access routes — our neighbours work here.
- We cannot guarantee a space will be free when you arrive.
- You park at your own risk. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to your vehicle or anything left in it, except where it is caused by our negligence.
- Do not park in a disabled bay without a badge.
- The estate is quiet and unlit in places at 5am and at 11pm. Please take the same care getting to and from your car that you would anywhere else at those hours, and tell us if the lighting on our approach is not good enough.
18Our responsibility to you
What we never exclude
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Any clause that tried to would simply be unenforceable, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
We will provide the facilities with reasonable care and skill, maintain the equipment properly, and keep the premises reasonably safe for the use they are put to.
Subject to the box above, we are not responsible for:
- Loss or damage that was not foreseeable — meaning it was not obvious it would happen, and you did not tell us it might when you joined.
- Business losses. The facilities are provided for private and domestic use; if you use them for any commercial purpose we have no liability for lost profit, lost business or lost opportunity.
- Loss or damage caused by your own failure to follow the safety notices, the instructions on the equipment, or these terms — including exercising beyond your capability on an unstaffed floor, or using equipment you have been told not to use.
- Loss or injury arising from a health condition you did not declare to us, or a change in your health you did not tell us about (clause B1).
You have legal rights as a consumer that these terms do not affect. If you want to know more about them, Citizens Advice can help.
19Your personal information
The Bunkr Club Ltd is the data controller for the personal information you give us. We handle it in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and our members’ privacy notice is at bunkrclub.co.uk/privacy-members.
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, mobile, date of birth | Running your membership, contacting you, verifying age | Performance of our contract |
| Payment references | Taking your monthly fee. Bank and card details are held by our payment provider, not by us | Performance of our contract |
| Access and booking records | Letting you in, knowing who is in the building, investigating incidents | Legitimate interests — safety and security of an unstaffed venue |
| Health declaration | Deciding whether it is safe for you to use an unstaffed gym, and responding if something happens | Your explicit consent (special category data) |
| Guest names and mobiles | Knowing who is on the premises | Legitimate interests — safety and insurance |
| Marketing preferences | Sending you news and offers, only if you have asked for them | Your consent |
We keep your membership records for six years after your membership ends, which is the period in which a claim could still be brought. Access logs are kept for 12 months. Health declarations are kept for as long as you are a member and six years afterwards, and are not used for anything else.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the suppliers who run the club's systems — our payment provider, our till and booking system, our email provider and our door hardware supplier — and only so far as they need it. Data is stored in the UK or the EEA.
Guests: a guest's name and mobile are held because they are on the premises. A member cannot give marketing consent on a guest's behalf, and we will not market to a guest unless they have opted in themselves.
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@bunkrclub.co.uk. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
19ACCTV
Bunkr Club is monitored by CCTV. Because the club is unstaffed, the cameras are the main way we can tell whether someone is in difficulty, who is in the building, and what happened if there is an incident or a dispute. The Bunkr Club Ltd is the controller for the footage.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Where | Entrance, gym floor, simulator bays and the hallway. There are no cameras in the changing rooms, showers or toilets, and none will ever be installed there |
| Why | Member safety on an unstaffed floor, preventing and investigating crime and damage, access control, and resolving disputes about what happened |
| Lawful basis | Legitimate interests — the safety and security of an unstaffed venue. A legitimate interests assessment is on file and available on request |
| Audio | Conversations are not recorded. See the note below on emergency audio |
| Retention | 30 days, then automatic deletion — except footage retained for a specific incident, insurance claim or police request, which is held separately only as long as that matters |
| Who can see it | Named directors and approved managers only. Every viewing is logged with who, when and why. It is never put on social media or shown to other members |
| Sharing | The police or another authority where we are legally required to, our insurers for a claim. Never sold, never used for marketing, never used to monitor individual members' training |
You have the right to ask for a copy of footage of yourself. Ask within 30 days, because after that it is gone. We will respond within one month and will blur or remove other people who appear.
We do not use facial recognition, and we do not use the cameras to analyse your behaviour, performance or attendance patterns.
19BEmergency audio
Some cameras have a microphone. It is not used for continuous recording and your conversations are not listened to or stored. Audio is available only through the emergency call function: if you press an emergency call point, or if we respond to an alarm, audio may be used at that moment so we can speak to you and understand what is happening. Any audio captured in that way is retained with the incident record and nothing else.
19CInstructors and staff
Anyone working at the club is told about the cameras separately, in writing, before they start. The footage is not used to monitor their productivity or timekeeping.
20Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change is minor — correcting an error, clarifying wording, reflecting a change in the law — we will publish the new version and tell you at your next visit. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and you may cancel before it takes effect without charge. As with a price change, the 30-day notice period in clause 8 does not apply to a cancellation made because of a change to these terms.
The current version is always at bunkrclub.co.uk/terms, with its version number and date.
21Complaints
Email info@bunkrclub.co.uk. We will acknowledge within two working days and give you a full response within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it between us you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and we will tell you which one applies.
22General
- We may transfer this agreement to another business, for instance if the club is sold. We will tell you in writing, your rights will not be affected, and you may cancel immediately if you would rather not continue.
- You may not transfer your membership to anyone else.
- If a court finds any part of these terms unlawful, the rest continues to apply.
- If we delay enforcing something, or choose not to, that does not stop us enforcing it later.
- Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Gym annexe — anyone with gym access
Applies to the Gym tier, Full Club, Full Club Elite, gym day passes and class bookings. Read together with Part A.
B1Your health is the condition of using an unstaffed gym
Before your first visit you must complete the health declaration in Part D. It is short, and it is not optional — gym access is not issued until it is completed.
- If you answer yes to any question, you must get your doctor's agreement that you can exercise unsupervised before we issue gym access. You confirm you have it as part of the declaration.
- You must tell us if your health changes in a way that affects any answer you gave. You can update your declaration at any time in your member account, and we will ask you to review it once a year.
- If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or an injury, or taking medication that affects your heart rate, balance or awareness, take medical advice before using an unstaffed gym.
We are not qualified to assess your fitness to exercise and we do not try to. The declaration is there so that you think about it honestly before training alone in an empty building, and so that we are not issuing access to someone who has been told by a doctor not to exercise.
B2The gym induction
Before your first visit to the gym floor you must complete the Bunkr Club gym induction. It is a short video in your member account covering the layout, how to use the main equipment safely, safety collars and rack pins, what to do if you are hurt while training alone, and where the first aid kit and fire exits are.
It takes a few minutes and it is not a formality. In a building with nobody on duty, it is the only briefing you will get.
We record the date you complete it. If you have not completed it we will remind you, and we may suspend gym access until you do. Bay access is unaffected.
B3Age rules on the gym floor
These are absolute, and they are not waivable by a parent:
| Age | Gym floor |
|---|---|
| 18 and over | Full access, unaccompanied |
| 16–17 | Only while a named adult member is signed in and present on the floor. A separate parental consent form is required, and the adult is responsible throughout |
| Under 16 | Never, in any circumstances, accompanied or not |
A strength floor with no staff on it is the wrong environment for a child, whatever the parent is willing to sign. Bunkr Junior gives bay access only, and never gym access.
B4Training alone
In addition to clause 11:
- Use safety collars on every barbell, every time.
- Do not attempt a maximal lift, and do not lift to failure, when there is no one else in the building. Work within a margin.
- Use the safety bars in the rack when squatting or pressing. If the rack does not have them set, set them.
- Do not use any equipment you have not been shown how to use, and do not improvise a use the equipment was not designed for.
- If you feel faint, dizzy, unusually breathless or get chest pain, stop immediately and get help.
B5Capacity
The gym floor holds about 15 people. If it is full you may be asked to wait. We may limit the number of people on the floor at any time, including during classes, and may introduce booking for the gym floor if demand requires it. Membership does not guarantee a space at a particular time.
B6Classes
- Classes are £12 for non-members, £8 for members, and included for Class Pass holders. A five-class card for non-members is £50 and must be used within 3 months of purchase.
- Classes must be booked in advance. Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and there is no charge: a class you paid for is refunded, and a class from a class card goes back on your card. Cancel inside 24 hours, or don't turn up, and the class counts as used — a paid class is not refunded and a class-card class is spent. There is no separate no-show fee. If you have a Class Pass and can't make a class, please cancel anyway, so someone else can have the space.
- An instructor is present for the whole class. A class outside 08:00–20:00 is open to non-members for that reason, and their access ends when the class does.
- We may cancel a class if too few people book or the instructor is unavailable. You will be told as early as we can and charged nothing.
- Tell the instructor before the class about any injury, condition or pregnancy that affects what you can do.
B7Day passes and gym guests
A gym day pass is £15 and covers one visit on that day, between 08:00 and 20:00. It is personal to the person it is bought for, and requires the same health declaration as a membership.
Unlike bays, the gym is priced per person, because every person on the floor uses capacity. There are no free gym guests.
- Full Club and Full Club Elite members get two gym guest passes a month, which do not roll over.
- Once the monthly passes are used, a further gym guest is charged at £15 rather than refused.
- Every gym guest must complete the health declaration before entering the floor, and is subject to the age rules in B3.
B8Equipment, clothing and hygiene
- Wipe equipment down after use. Wipes and spray are provided.
- Use a towel on benches and pads.
- Return weights to the rack. Do not leave loaded bars.
- Do not drop weights outside a designated lifting platform, and do not drop dumbbells at all. The unit has neighbours and the floor is not built for it.
- Report faults immediately through the link in your member account, and do not use faulty equipment. An item marked out of use must be left alone.
B9No outside coaching or personal training
You may not coach, instruct or personally train anyone else at Bunkr Club for payment, and you may not bring in an outside personal trainer or coach, without our written agreement. This is an insurance and qualification requirement, not a commercial one: anyone instructing on these premises must be approved, insured and qualified. Training with a friend, informally and for nothing, is fine.
Golf annexe — anyone with bay access
Applies to Golf Lite, Golf, Full Club, Full Club Elite, Bunkr Junior and pay-as-you-go bay hire. Read together with Part A.
C1The bays
Bunkr Club has two simulator bays, each fitted with Trackman equipment and each holding up to four people. A bay is booked as a room: the price is the same whether one person uses it or four, and we do not charge per head.
Please bring your own clubs. Balls are provided, and a basic set of house clubs is kept in each bay for guests, beginners and juniors who do not have their own — but they are a courtesy rather than part of what you are paying for, and we cannot promise a set in your size or handedness will be free when you arrive. If golf is the reason you joined, bring your own.
C2Credits — how your allowance works
Golf memberships are sold in credits, not flat hours, because an hour on a Saturday morning is worth more than an hour on a Tuesday.
- One credit buys one off-peak bay hour. Two credits buy one peak bay hour.
- Peak is the hours a non-member can also book: weekdays 17:00–20:00 and weekends 09:00–17:00. Every other hour, including every members-only hour, costs one credit.
- A booking spanning both is charged hour by hour. A 19:00–21:00 session costs three credits.
- Your credits are added in full on each renewal date and do not roll over. Unused credits are lost at the end of the month.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred or given to another member, and cannot be used by anyone but you.
- Running out of credits never locks you out. You keep booking at your tier's member rate for extra hours — Gym and Golf Lite £18, Golf and Full Club £15, Elite £12, one flat rate at any hour and always below the walk-in price.
We may change credit allowances or the peak definition on 30 days' notice under clause 7.
C3Booking, cancelling and no-shows
Bays are booked through your member account. Non-members can book up to 21 days ahead, within 08:00–20:00 only. Members can book further ahead than that.
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and your credits are returned in full, or your payment is refunded. Cancel inside 24 hours, or do not turn up, and the credits are spent and the payment is not refunded. With only two bays, a slot given up at short notice is usually a slot nobody else can take, and the cost of that falls on every other member.
Booked something by mistake? You have 30 minutes
Plenty of bay bookings are made on the day, which would otherwise put you inside the cancellation window the moment you booked. So: any booking can be cancelled free of charge within 30 minutes of making it, however close to the start time it is. After that the 24-hour rule applies as normal. You will never lose credits to a mistyped date or a double tap.
We may cancel or move a booking where equipment fails, for maintenance, or in an emergency. If we do, your credits are returned in full or you are refunded, and we will offer an alternative slot where we can.
Your access code works from 10 minutes before your booking until 10 minutes after it ends. Please leave the bay clear for the next booking.
C4Members-only hours
05:00–08:00 and 20:00–23:00 are reserved for members. Non-members cannot book them by any route. These hours always cost one credit, which makes them the best value time to play and is a deliberate part of what membership buys.
We may change which hours are members-only on 30 days' notice, and may add further members-only periods — for example a members-only Sunday — as demand requires.
C5Safety in the bay
A golf club swung indoors is the single most dangerous thing in this building. Everyone in a bay is responsible for the people in it with them.
- Only one person swings at a time. Everyone else stays behind the marked line and well clear of the swing path.
- Check behind you before every swing.
- Hit only from the designated hitting mat, and only towards the screen.
- Hit only the balls provided, or your own conventional golf balls. Nothing else is to be struck, at any time.
- Do not swing a club anywhere else in the building.
- Children in a bay must be supervised by an adult at all times and within arm's reach when not playing.
- No food or drink other than water near the mat, screen or launch monitor.
C6Equipment and damage in the bays
Simulator equipment is expensive and easily damaged. The screen, projector, launch monitor, netting and mats are not covered by normal wear and tear if damaged by misuse, and misuse means striking anything other than a golf ball, hitting from outside the mat, swinging outside the bay, or letting an unsupervised child use the equipment.
Where damage is caused that way, we may charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, with the invoice shown to you. Accidental damage during ordinary play is ours to deal with and we will not charge you for it.
Do not adjust, unplug, reposition or attempt to fix any part of the simulator, the projector or the PC. If something is not working, report it and we will sort it.
C7Junior bay sessions
Junior credits are valid in the published junior window only, for bays only. A junior session issues no access code — entry is on the accompanying adult member's code, and that adult must remain on site for the whole session. See clause 15.
Health declaration
Seven questions and a declaration. Completed at signup by every member with gym access, every gym day pass and every gym guest — and reviewed once a year. This is the most important single record an unstaffed gym holds.
Bunkr Club is an unstaffed gym. You may be training alone in an empty building, with nobody to help if something goes wrong. These seven questions take a minute and they matter — please answer them honestly, for your own sake.
If you answer yes to anything
There is one optional box: “Briefly, anything we should know. Please do not give more medical detail than you need to.” It is there for a safety decision, not a medical history, so please keep it short.
Emergency contact — required from every member
Name, relationship and telephone number, collected at signup alongside the declaration and editable by you at any time. In a building where you may be the only person present, this is the field that matters most and we have no other way of getting it. It is used only to contact that person if something happens to you, and for nothing else.
If any answer is Yes
You won’t be able to finish signing up for gym access straight away. You’ll see: “Thanks for being honest. Because you have answered yes to one or more questions, we need your doctor's agreement that you can exercise without supervision before we can issue gym access. Tick below once you have it, or email us and we will help.” and a single confirmation tick:
“I confirm a doctor has agreed I can take part in unsupervised physical activity.”
Gym access is not issued until that tick is given. Bay-only access is unaffected and can be issued normally.
I confirm that:
- The answers I have given above are true and complete.
- I understand that Bunkr Club is unstaffed and that I may be exercising alone, with no one present to assist me if I am injured or unwell.
- I am taking part in physical activity at my own risk, and I will exercise within my own capability and stop if I feel unwell.
- I will tell Bunkr Club if my health changes in a way that affects any answer above.
- I have read and agree to the Membership Terms and Conditions, including the gym annexe.
- I consent to Bunkr Club holding this health information for the purpose of my safety, and I understand I can withdraw that consent at any time — which will mean gym access is withdrawn.
Juniors and 16–17s
A junior add-on gives bay access only and needs no health declaration. A 16–17 year old with gym access needs the declaration completed and signed by their parent or guardian, who must also be a member and present on the floor (clause B3).
